The person behind Dany

Damir Mehmedović

Web developer · Dany doo Srebrenik

For me, web development is not just a job – it is a calling I have followed since my student days. For more than 25 years I have been turning ideas into websites and applications that work, and what drives me most are new challenges: a problem that seems to have no solution at first sight, and a partner looking for someone to find one.

I work side by side with partners and agencies – mostly from Austria and Germany – and their clients. I like to understand the business behind every project, because only then do you get a solution that really helps, not just code that runs.

I never stopped learning after university. I regularly attend industry conferences, above all StripeCon – the community gathering around Silverstripe CMS, the platform I have built a great many projects on. I am just as much at home in Symfony, and when needed, a WordPress project gets done too – if it really has to be.

Full-stack developer · You Will Like IT, Bremen

Amir's path with computers started at the technical school in Tuzla and led straight to Dany: from 1999 as a hardware specialist, and from 2007 as a Silverstripe and full-stack developer. For almost seventeen years he helped build Dany – from selling and servicing computers to the first web projects for partners abroad.

Since 2016 he has been living and working in Bremen, Germany. At the Brandfisher advertising agency he builds websites for clients in marketing and advertising, as co-founder and CTO of FARMCYCLE GmbH he led the technical development from idea to finished product, and today he works as a full-stack developer with You Will Like IT.

He is especially interested in user experience, interface design and SEO. He also shares part of his work with the Silverstripe community, publishing open-source modules on GitHub – among them a Schema.org generator and an AI gateway for Silverstripe 6.
